Keywords research and analysis is undoubtedly the foundation of an SEO campaign. Every single strategy and all the modifications we would perform as an effort towards search engine optimization is a derivative and is dependent on the keywords you narrow down upon.
As SEO professionals, we rely heavily on Keyword Research tools and Web Analytics tools in order to discover core keyword phrases, which are commonly used across all of the commercial web search engines. Though we look at a number of factors and user search statistics during this analysis such as the competition, search volumes; there is an entire facet of reason we tend to ignore. This is – the connection between User Search Trends and Usability.
In a purer sense of the term usability means a users reaction to any website. Yes, a positive experience would include ease of use, appeal of the interface etc. but by far Relevancy is the most important factor to consider.
Keyword research tools reveal search behaviors based on which we would rebuild a site’s information architecture. We can also tailor ads and landing pages for Pay per Click marketing to searchers who typically use a single, targeted search engine. But does our web analytics data validate our keyword research? Is the particular keyword phrase appropriate for that type of website? Are we reaching our correct target audience?
As an astute SEO Company we realize that our work is not an exact science, but a combination of keyword research tools, statistical knowledge and intuitive judgment. We should understand when it is appropriate to implement keywords into a site’s information architecture with the perspective of the user as well. We do monitor the effectiveness of keyword-driven traffic via web analytics data. But without the correct user perspective of the target audience Keyword research data and Web analytics search data can be easily misinterpreted.
“Stickiness” is a metric that which can be measured by the number of page views per visitor via search engine traffic and the average time on site. Stickiness of the keyword along with the current global search trends (on a time relative graph) are effective parameters to be used in periodic iterations of Keyword Analyses.
In conclusion the most important aspect of an SEO campaign, the Keyword Research and Analysis, should be carried out with a good balance of the science (the data) and art (the intuition) that is SEO.

The transition from student to professional life is an enormous one. A huge chasm has to be crossed before you can emerge as a working professional. The first job is the montessori school of your career where you learn the basics of your trade, professionalism, office etiquette etc.
Well, Search Engine Optimization turns out to be the trade I’ve opted for and Convonix Inc. my place of work! Convonix is one of the high end and bigger Internet Marketing firms in India with a lot of services like SEO, PPC, and Reputation Management etc under its umbrella.
What makes this place great to work in is first and foremost its friendly fun atmosphere! The underlying basic is that each one is professional to the core and the primary mantra everyone abides by is- “Never miss a deadline”.
The learning here each day is immeasurable. The key is the convonite policies of encouraging research, information sharing and inclusion. All research, findings, methodology and successes are transparent within the company. Another rule which I personally benefit greatly from is ASK QUESTIONS! Nothing is off limits and there is always someone ready and willing to answer your questions and offer guidance. Each fresher here has been outfitted with the essential basics and then been given a free rein to work and the freedom to develop their own style.
I look forward to a long happy and satisfying time here at Convonix Inc.

This was something that I wanted for office since ages. Finally, a few weeks back we got a table tennis table at the New Bombay office and it’s a huge hit. People use it and feel that it is a great way to relax after a hard day at work.

This one is a long overdue post. I have been meaning to write it since months (may be even years ) but never actually got down to it.
People who know me will tell you the amount of time I spend every day in office. It isn’t just me. Everyone around here has long days.
But ask anyone here about life at Convonix and they’ll say that it is all fun. We’re very serious about our work and our deadlines… but we never forget to party… be it weekly dinners, birthdays, our special biryani parties (a big thanks to the chef at Delhi Darbar for the awesome biryani that he makes) and off course our frequent out of town brain storming weekends.
To the people who want to join us (you can apply here!!!) – Every Convonite will tell you that the Convonix culture, formed through an amalgamation of people from different backgrounds, is special. Team spirit, responsibilities and hard work are a way of life here. But, once you blend in, you will find that the line between work and fun has disappeared.
Below are pictures of some of the fun things that we do every day (Finally…).

Office was buzzing with activity as usual this evening. When suddenly, phones started ringing and Vishal’s mobile went on an overdrive. And before anyone of us could comprehend what’s happening, a team mate dashed in to the conference room where 3 of us work, and said, ‘We’re on Rediff…1st page!’
And then we checked and found Vishal’s interview in an article titled ‘A million dollar company built on failure.’ We knew an article on rediff.com was coming but never expected it to be titled this way! Extremely candid interview with our CEO, who answers the ‘How we started off’ questions with a tremendous zeal The article talks in depth about his journey from a Radio FM site webmaster to being the CEO of a 40 odd employee firm and seeks to motivate budding entrepreneurs, which I think it does, looking at the comments that started flowing in.
You read interviews of the rich and famous, celebrities and businessmen; and one day you read an interview of this kid who had the passion to defy odds, fulfil his dream and go on to build an organization…and it truly makes you sit back and wonder…”If he could do it, why can’t I?” So let’s hope this article reaches out and inspires many like us who dream to achieve something special!

The tag line of Convonix says ‘The Search Engine Optimization Firm’. In my opinion there should be another tag line which says ‘Work Hard & Play Hard’.
The last six months in Convonix have been an absolute ball. I was one of those lucky ones who walked into Convonix on the very first day of my very first job and was a part of the company’s famous Biryani Parties. For a moment I thought “Wow! What a cool way to treat new recruits.” However after a while it dawned on me that this party was to celebrate the company’s successful financial year.
There was more to come. My very first weekend and I found myself in Khandala on the company picnic. I had the most memorable couple of days in the company of my new colleagues & bosses who by the way have become my very good friends.
After the excitement of the first week, things settled down a bit. I took up new projects and during the course of the projects I found out that working was even more fun.
In these six months I have experienced it all – fun-filled carrom sessions in our windy terrace, marathon night sessions during deliveries, heated arguments & discussions during lunch in breaks, brain storming during training sessions & the whole lot.
Finally, I hope that in the coming months there would be more fun & equally more work. On that note this is an employee of Convonix Inc. signing off.
