SMG Convonix has been named the Silver winner in the Web category for Single Banner Campaign, in Indian Digital Marketing Awards 2013, which awards path-breaking work witnessed in the digital space.
The winning campaign is ‘Art of Living’ which SMG Convonix designed for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy SIII in India. The campaign was a rich media banner campaign with a video demonstration of the product. The concept was to build around the 3 key features of Galaxy SIII which imitated Best Shot, SBeam and Social Tag Feature bringing alive the complete product experience. The creative execution was a video, shot for the digital platform, building a story which explained how Galaxy SIII features fits in the best at various points in one’s life.
Instead of the video exposure happening only on TV, the features of Galaxy SIII were brought alive to consumers just browsing at home, as well as those who weren’t actively shopping for a new phone. The objective of this campaign was to make the Indian audiences aware of the innovations, their context and believe in the power of such innovations to simplify their lives. The impact of such a campaign is high since, the consumption of the creative – the video, is user initiated and thereby doesn’t interrupt the online browsing experience for the user.
IDMA 2013 catered to more sectors of the digital marketing arena than previous years. Entries were accepted under five broad categories namely Web, Social Media, Mobile, Language and Special Awards. The IDMA received 856 entries this year, truly signifying the kind of growth seen in the digital marketing space in India. All the entries were scrutinized by the jury under the supervision of an advisory board.
