Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising: Google AdWords

AdWords is part of Google, an internet search engine that allows you to list your ads targeted to users looking for your products or services. The Google search engine enables a user to find relevant information from the internet on a topic specified by them. Google then reports a list of search results within seconds, with the most relevant information at the top. Along with the search results, Google's online advertising product called AdWords delivers your ads. Google's AdWords program also delivers relevant ads specific to the search query. All search results combined with the ads is called a Google search and the page that displays all the information is called the Google search results page.

Your Ads are delivered by Google AdWords and appear under the heading "Sponsored Links" on the right hand side of a search results page and at times also above the search results. Ads are triggered by a user query and this form of advertising is called keyword advertizing. Keywords are terms that advertisers can choose to trigger their ads on Google. You have complete control over your ad copy, keywords and the specific geographic region in which you would like to display your ads. These targeted ads help you drive relevant user traffic to your website searching for your products or services. Using Google AdWords, you can accurately measure your return on investment for your advertizing budget. Google AdWords allows you to target your ads using a variety of ad formats including text ads - the default Google advertizing format, image ads, video ads, mobile ads and local business ads.
